Pro-Audio and Studio Equipment Servicing
High-calibre component-level repair, restoration, and preventative maintenance for professional recording studio equipment and audio setups from across the North West.
I specialise in the thorough investigation of any issues and keeping classic discrete circuitry and complex systems operating at peak performance, and will happily spend more of my own time in getting the outcome to fit my high expectations, “if a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing properly”.
A long lasting repair and reliable service is the goal. Book yours in today!

Outboard and Rack Gear
Premium studio outboard gear requires a precise, non-compromising engineering approach. I work on high-voltage valves in colourful and vintage preamps, resolve logic errors in digital routing hardware, and isolate issues without modifying the unique sonic character of your studio investments (unless that’s a specified desirable requirement, of course, such as using alternative valves/tubes).
- Have equipment to test and tracing of high-voltage valves, matched tube installation, and re-biasing.
- Precision checking of faithful input -> output signals including measurement of THD to catch unwanted noise before it becomes a noticeable concern.
- Component-level diagnosis and repair of vintage and solid-state.
- Switch and jack cleaning and replacement if necessary.
- Creative solutions to issues around availability of parts.
Analogue Mixing Console.
Analogue desks and rack-mount mixers can face intense ageing and mechanical wear over decades of service. I can provide systematic diagnostic testing of signal path from individual channel strips to multi-way busses. Degraded, noisy power supply rails can be cleaned up, op-amps and other components replaced, and delicate stripping and cleaning of scratchy fader assemblies is possible, restoring absolute signal integrity to your mixes.
- Complete linear power supply overhaul with low-ESR capacitor upgrades where needed. Switch mode supplies also repaired.
- Channel strip troubleshooting, discrete component replacement, and switch and potentiometer deoxidation.
- Component-level diagnosis and investigation into inter-channel leakage and high noise floors.
- Detailed audio path calibration in accordance with manufacturer service data using precision bench analysis tools.
